About Aaron

22686900_10155676436279277_1723623471_nI have always enjoyed running, training & racing. I have competed in Track, Road, Cross-Country & Trail Races since starting in school athletics. In 2002 I moved from Queensland to Mount Beauty in the Victorian Alps. That summer I got a job on the Parks Victoria Firecrew with legendary mountain runner Andy Kromar. A combination of Andy’s influence and my love of ascending meant I was soon entering mountain races like Bright 4 Peaks and the Mount Bogong Conquestathon. I still love to run & race and I’m fortunate to do that around Australia and in Europe each year.

STRAVA-iconI’m a keen user of Strava to record and analyze my training. I also love to use Strava to research future runs or to check out race courses. I have planned runs and rides all over Australia thanks to the Strava Athlete community. You can check out my Strava Athlete Profile at https://www.strava.com/athletes/196354

After winning a few of the 2015 La Sportiva Mountain Running Series races at Mount Feathertop and Mount Buller I was invited to stay with the La Sportiva team in Bright for the Buffalo Stampede weekend. I got to meet most of the team, really enjoyed the weekend and appreciated the support they provided. Following that weekend I was asked to joined the team! I really value the support and awesome gear from La Sportiva!
